Automated Content Safety (Anti-Spam & Abuse Prevention)
To protect users and comply with laws and carrier policies, Taratxt uses automated content-safety filtering on outbound and inbound SMS to detect spam, scams, malware, and other prohibited content. Messages that trigger high-risk patterns may be blocked, rate-limited, or flagged for review. This inspection is used solely for abuse prevention and service integrity-not for ad targeting.
If you believe a message was incorrectly blocked, request a review via support@taratxt.com. We provide reason codes where possible and minimize how long full message content is retained for this decision process.
What We Don’t Do (Clarity & Compliance)
- Taratxt does not resell carrier services and is not a telecom operator. You provide your own SIM and follow your carrier’s terms.
- Taratxt is a software/service platform that you use to run your own gateway hardware and your own SIM plan.
- Users are responsible for complying with all local laws, carrier policies, and anti-spam/consent requirements.
Legal & Acceptable Use
- Lawful, permission-based messaging only. No spam, scams, or prohibited content.
- Data responsibility. Process only message data you’re authorized to handle; respect privacy and consent.
- Device safety & network compliance. Operate your gateway within local regulations and your carrier plan.

Data Handling & Privacy
- Data minimization. We store the minimum metadata needed for delivery, troubleshooting, and analytics.
- Retention controls. Message logs can be auto-purged after a set period (default 7 days, configurable).
- Security. API access uses token-based authentication; webhooks can be HMAC-signed. TLS is enforced for all endpoints.

Refunds & Billing (for Paid Plans)
Taratxt’s paid features, if any, are sold as digital software/services.
Refunds: We follow a fair-use policy consistent with our Refund Policy and the payment processor’s rules (e.g., double charge, non-delivery of digital service). If a refund is appropriate, we’ll process it promptly.
